The Short Version in Australia, an e-bike may be classified as an electrically power-assisted bicycle (EPAC) if it meets specific technical requirements at the time it is supplied. CRUZR EPAC models are supplied to align with the EN15194:2017 standard, which includes the following key characteristics: ✅ Motor power: Maximum 250W continuous rated output ✅ Pedal assist: Motor assistance is provided only while pedaling ✅ Speed limit: Motor assistance cuts out at 25 km/h ✅ Throttle operation: If fitted, throttle assistance is limited to walking pace (up to 6 km/h) only ✅ Helmet use: An approved helmet is required under Australian road rules in all states and territories These requirements
